Commissioned Corps

Dr. Fuentes served as a dentist and a commissioned officer attaining the rank of Lieutenant Commander (O-4) while on active duty with the Commissioned Corps of the U. S. Public Health Service. The Commissioned Corps is one of the seven uniformed services of the U.S. Federal Government. The mission of the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps is to protect, promote, and advance the health and safety of our Nation and Dr. Fuentes greatly enjoyed serving our country in bringing dental health services to underserved and needy patient populations in our society.
